March 2023 – NBA secures GOLD!
We are delighted to announce that Noel-Baker Academy has been awarded the LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Schools award from the Carnegie School of Education, Leeds Beckett University. A lot of hard work and commitment has gone into the completion of this award by Staff, Governors and the Students themselves, and we could not be any prouder. It is fantastic to see this work has been recognised outside of the Academy walls and to know that others think our school is as amazing as we know it is!

“The culture of inclusion is more embedded, and it has become the ‘natural way of thinking”.”The evidence talks of diversity and inclusion as being a core part of the school ’s culture and part of their day-to-day agenda”.
“The statement ‘you are welcome here’ clearly is lived and breathed by all school stakeholders”.

Monday 11th October – National Coming Out Day

Monday 11th October is National Coming Out Day! Members of our All Colourz Council wanted to share some of their coming out stories in the hope it’ll support anyone who is feeling worried about sharing who they are. We are so proud of them!

‘When I came out to my parents, I was very anxious and struggled to do it in person. I wrote a letter explaining it to them, not sure how they were going to take it. I felt anxious all day but once I got home I discovered they accepted it unconditionally’. All Colourz Council member, 2021.

Keep an eye out on the screens around the Academy and on our social media for more.
