Mental Health and Wellbeing Events

#HelloYellow – Friday 8th October

We are joining thousands of schools, offices and communities by taking part in #HelloYellow to mark World Mental Health Day (Sunday 10th October).

Our staff will be digging out their neon socks, yellow scarf, scrunchie, banana hat.. and wearing something yellow, big or small, to show young people they’re not alone with their mental health!

There will be the chance for students (and staff) to use the #HelloYellow photo booth during their lunchtime where they can make a small donation to ‘Young Minds’ if they wish.

Saying #HelloYellow this World Mental Health Day is a little thing we can do to make a BIG difference to young people’s mental health. Please help us support this… a little yellow goes a long way!

Children’s Mental Health Awareness week – 7th-13th February 2022

The week of the 7th-13th February is Children’s Mental Health Awareness week 2022. The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is Growing Together.
Growing Together is about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential. However, emotional growth is often a gradual process that happens over time, and sometimes we might feel a bit ‘stuck’. Place2Be website. For this Children’s Mental Health Week, we are sharing a wellbeing challenge with our students to see which tutor groups can tick off the most activities during the week.
Who can drink 2 litres of water, make the effort to go for a walk or go to bed earlier each day?
It’s only when we look after our own wellbeing that we can start to grow together!
