Taking the step between primary and secondary school is a daunting prospective for parents and children alike. At Noel-Baker Academy, we aim to make the process as smooth, easy and enjoyable as possible. Places for Noel-Baker Academy are allocated by the local authority and are confirmed on National Offer Day on the 1st March 2023.
From this point we are working behind the scenes to gather all necessary information about your son or daughter from their primary school and this means we have the most accurate picture of your child. Should you have changed your address since applying for a secondary place (since October 2022) please let us know so that we can send all correspondences to the correct address.
During these times we are working our hardest to ensure that the form groups are designed to support your child’s progress and we are working to ensure that everything about our provision in September for year 7, as well as the rest of the year groups, is in line with the government’s recent guidance. We have taken information from the primary schools as well as the Friends information that has been sent back to the Academy to ensure these groups meet your child’s needs.

Please find below the chance to meet some of the staff you will be seeing a day-to-day basis when you arrive in September. They will answer lots of the questions you may have including the ones that would have been answered on the transition evening. It is password protected, which you will receive in an upcoming letter. If there are any questions, please email the address at the bottom of the page.
As part of the transition process, the Maths team have put together a video to show you around the Maths department as well as introduce you to the team. There are also fun activities for you to complete as part of the video.
