Students following Pathway B will make 3 option choices. Their first option comprises either Geography, History or Spanish. This is because we believe that a student cannot their potential without knowing the world around them and where they have come from, understanding the knowledge that has proceeded them and the legacy which they have inherited. This forms part of the English Baccalaureate (EBACC). The final  two, open options are comprised of a wide variety of subjects which pupils can choose from. Some of these, such as Drama and Food, can be chosen to continue studying for years 10 and 11, but some subjects, such as Sociology and Business Studies, have not been studied previously. With all subjects it is important to ask the teachers for their advice and for the pupil to find out exactly what the course entails to see whether it is the right choice moving forwards.
